Intolerable Acts
| Introduction | Boston harbor | Quartering act |
| No town meetings | Soldier go to court in Britain | My opinions |
The Intolerable acts were passed in 1774 on the colonists by the British. This was a result of the Boston tea party. Some of the intolerable acts were that the Boston Harbor was closed, there was a stronger quartering act, only one town meeting each year, and if a British soldier had to go to court in Britain. These acts were unfair to the colonists, which led to the American Revolution.

One the Intolerable acts was when the Boston harbor was shut down. This is called a blockade, this means to close down a port to stop imports and exports from coming in the country. The British put ships together around the harbor so nothing could get in, also British soldiers enforced the rules. This stopped the colonists from getting supplies from other countries.

Another part of the Intolerable acts was that there was a stronger quartering act. This meant that the colonists had to let the colonist live and sleep in their house. This made the colonists angry because they didn't want someone they didn't know in their house. Especially because the British were enemies to some of the colonists.

Also the colonists were only aloud to have one town meetings per year. This was unfair to the colonists because before they had town meeting when ever they wanted to.

Soldier go to court in Britain
The last part of the Intolerable acts was that British soldier had to go to court in Britain. This was good for British soldiers and bad for the colonists because the British would just let their men go, instead of going to jail.

I think that the British should not of placed the Intolerable acts on the colonists just to get revenge for the Boston tea party. There was no reason for the British to make the colonists have to have the British soldiers stay in there homes. They could have build a huge house for all the soldiers to stay in. I think that the British should of just banned tea from the colonists to drink. All these acts did were create tension between the colonists and the British.
